💼 Position 1: Assistant Manager IT Audit
Job description
You’ll assess whether government IT systems are secure, reliable, and processing financial transactions accurately, essential for trustworthy financial reporting
Duties:
- Plan and scope IT audit engagements across government departments and entities
- Assess IT control environments and identify key risks
- Execute detailed testing of general and application controls
- Document findings and evidence according to audit standards
- Draft audit reports with clear, actionable recommendations
- Ad-hoc: Perform and/or manage other projects, tasks and assignments not stipulated on the Job description as and when required
Skills, Experience & Education
Formal Education
- B Degree in Auditing or Computer Science or Informatics
The following will be an added advantage:
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- ERP Certificate (Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards)
- State Security agency or Defence Intelligence Top Secret Clearance certificate
Knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of finance and the components involved in finance; must be able to apply PFMA and MFMA principles and adhere to due dates
- Knowledge of Auditing
- In-depth knowledge and skills in ERP environments
- Should have knowledge of Oracle SysAdmin and Oracle business process reviewsÂ
- Knowledge of GCR, ACR and project review
Experience
- Minimum 4 years IS auditing experience
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
- Experience on one or more ERP environments, such as Oracle, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft
- Experience in Cyber Security environment would be beneficial
- Experience in CAATs/Data Analytics environment would be beneficial

- At least 5 years experience in a managerial role
- Public sector audit experience is a requirement.
- Experience in research and development of guidance related to audit of annual financial statements will be an advantage.
- A good performance record of accomplishment in the specialist area of auditing compliance is an advantage.
- Experience in leading and coordinating the activities of a team of qualified professionals.
- Experience in building a new team and executing on a mandate.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.

Duties:
Strategic Leadership
- Drive AGSA quality and audit strategic initiatives
- Manage Business Unit Performance Scorecard delivery
- Support BU Leader on key strategic projects
ISQM Remediation & Financial Audit Product Management
- Monitor professional developments to identify annual financial statement audit support needs
- Develop and maintain AGSA audit guidance
- Train auditors on complex technical matters
- Create technical policies integrating accounting, auditing, legislation and ethics
- Lead ISQM remediation implementation and root cause analysis
- Classify System of Quality Management (SoQM) deficiencies
- Design and oversee pro-active quality review programmes
- Supervise technical specialists on consultations and remediation
Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide technical opinions and guidance to audit business units during audit cycles
- Present at Technical fora
- Coordinate with other Technical Audit Support centres
- Engage business units on remedial actions
- Advise EXCO, QMAC and leadership through submissions on audit quality projects
- Manage pro-active review findings discussions with Audit Business Units
People & Financial Management
- Manage team performance, development and retention

💼 Position 3: Executive Assistant
Duties
Strategic & Executive Support
- Support executive leadership on strategic and people management objectives
- Track portfolio strategic alignment
- Consolidate Business Unit progress reports
Secretarial Functions
- Manage executive diary, correspondence and deadlines
- Coordinate task flow between executive and business unit leaders
- Maintain Balanced Scorecard information
- Arrange travel, prepare documents and take minutes
- Handle confidential correspondence and visitor management
- Consolidate quarterly Business Unit reports
Portfolio & Project Management
- Manage strategic projects and deliverables
- First-line review of proposals and approval requests
- Identify key projects and environmental themes for executive attention
- Monitor office performance against Balanced Scorecard
- Oversee document management and office infrastructure
- Manage CSA Tool, timesheets, travel claims and leave
Stakeholder Relations
