The Appointee should:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting • Review captured and processed validated financial transactions • Review of monthly tax calculations and month-end reports • Review of monthly reconciliations • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual returns. • Review monthly vat returns • Prepare or review of Financial Statements and Annual Financial Statements • Assisting in timeous resolving of general ledger reconciliation queries • Completing ad-hoc project, tasks and reports • Ensuring 100% SOX compliance • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and comply to national and international accounting standards
  • Administration • Assessing the impact of new and amended accounting standards and assisting with the implementation where required. • Providing post-implementation support and training on new or amended accounting standards/ transactions implemented.   • Proactive approach to IT network infrastructure housekeeping with regards to cabling, safety and power connections
  • Efficient first- and second-line IT Service support in line with the centrally defined SLA
  • A relevant initial analysis / diagnosis of requests to ensure timeous and effective support
  • User requests are resolved through the application of the required level of technical knowledge and expertise
  • Installation, set-up and configuration of new desktops in line with required standards
